Using our services
These terms apply to the UK Ludo League website and related account, ranking, event and shop services. By using those services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not continue using them.
Some activities may include additional information, such as event details, product descriptions or published rules. That information forms part of the relevant agreement where it applies. Our privacy policy and cookie notice explain how we handle information and device storage.
Accounts and eligibility
- Provide accurate information and keep it reasonably current.
- Keep your password private and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.
- Use only your own account and do not impersonate another person.
- A parent or guardian must approve use by anyone who cannot legally agree to these terms themselves.
We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, preserve league integrity, investigate misuse or meet a legal obligation. Contact us if you believe a restriction was made in error.
League play, rankings and events
Published game and conduct rules apply to UKLL-organised play. Event details may change where reasonably necessary, including venue, timing, capacity or format. We will aim to communicate material changes to registered players using the contact information available to us.
Results and ratings depend on the information recorded by organisers and administrators. We may correct clear mistakes, investigate disputed results and take proportionate action to protect fair play. Rankings are provided as part of the sporting record and are not a guarantee of entry, prizes or future status.
Any event-specific price, cancellation or refund information shown when registration opens will apply to that event. If an organised event is cancelled, we will explain the available next steps to affected entrants.
Shop, payment, delivery and returns
Orders and payment
Product descriptions and prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable UK taxes unless stated otherwise. Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when payment is accepted and we confirm the order. Payments are securely processed by Stripe; we do not receive your full card details.
Delivery
We currently deliver to UK addresses only. Boards normally dispatch within two working days using Royal Mail Tracked 48, but delivery estimates are not guarantees. Please contact us promptly if an order is delayed, damaged or incorrect.
Cancellations and returns
Consumers normally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period after receiving goods bought online. In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 30-day goodwill return for unused boards in their original packaging. Email your receipt number to support@ukludoleague.com before returning an item so we can provide instructions. This policy does not limit rights you may have under UK consumer law, including rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.
Unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, you may be responsible for return postage. Refunds are made to the original payment method after the return is received and checked.
Acceptable use
You must not use our services to:
- break the law, threaten or harass people, or promote hatred;
- cheat, manipulate results or interfere with fair competition;
- gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or information;
- upload malicious code, overwhelm the service or disrupt other users;
- scrape, resell or commercially exploit the service without permission;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights.
Content and intellectual property
The UKLL name, branding, website design, original text, graphics, photographs and software are owned by or licensed to UK Ludo League. You may view and use them for personal, non-commercial use of the services. No other rights are transferred to you.
If you submit feedback or content, you confirm you have the right to do so. You allow us to use feedback to improve UKLL. We will ask for appropriate permission before using personal photographs or stories for promotional purposes where consent is required.
Availability and third-party services
We aim to keep services accurate and available, but maintenance, faults and circumstances outside our control may cause interruption. We may change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. Important account, order and legal obligations that arose before a change remain unaffected.
Links and integrations operated by other organisations, including payment, authentication, delivery and social platforms, are also subject to those organisations' terms. We are not responsible for unrelated third-party websites merely because we link to them.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, business loss suffered by a consumer, or delay caused by events we could not reasonably control.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
